Karen Maroot brings a long and diverse history of community outreach experience to her role as the CEO of Esano Corporation. Her passion for helping those in need has found a place in Esano within the under-served field of mental healthcare and substance abuse treatment.
Karen's previous work includes extensive marketing, international business development and communications experience. She served in international sales and marketing at Duncan Enterprises for fourteen years, served as the Events Manager for the largest Alzheimer's Association Chapter in the nation, and was the Executive Director for Tree Fresno. In her capacity as the Executive Director for Tree Fresno, she developed grants with the Fresno County Office of Education for a special educational center serving at-risk youth and children with special needs- among other achievements. Karen currently serves as a volunteer at P.A.I.N. (Prescription Abusers in Need) and on the advisory board of PATH (Performing Above the High), an initiative by the California Health Collaborative geared toward educating youth about marijuana use.
Karen graduated from California State University, Fresno earning a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business and a Minor in Spanish. After completing her degree, Karen spent a significant time abroad where she honed her fluent Spanish skills and learned conversational Farsi. Karen also spent many years as an on-air personality for Radio Romantico & KVPR. She is the co-host of the weekly program with Dr. Wajda on Power Talk Radio, a live call in program that addresses the Mental Health issues facing our community.
