Leesa Allen, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Leesa was born and raised in the Central Valley. She became interested in social work at a young age when classmates would tell her their problems and called her "Dear Abby." While attending California State University, Fresno she obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work. Within a few years of finishing graduate school, she obtained her Clinical Social Work license to practice in California.
During her 22 years of experience, Leesa has worked with multicultural populations in a variety of settings. She has worked in skilled nursing facilities, home health care agencies, outpatient dialysis/clinics, inpatient hospitals to include Community Regional Medical Centers and many independent contracts with various healthcare entities. Leesa also has gained experience and knowledge providing psychotherapy services at high schools, family/rural health clinics, and in private practice. She has provided a variety of services in these settings such as: individual, child/adolescent, family, couples counseling and consultation services.
In addition, Leesa has provided education on various medical/mental health topics to interdisciplinary staff such as: Compassion Fatigue/stress Management, End of Life care, Depression and Dual Diagnosis Treatment.
Leesa is currently works with ESANO Corporation and Dr. Bradley Wajda as well as the California Pacific Medical Center Kidney Transplantation Department. She also works as a LCSW consultant for Madera Community Hospital Home Health and Madera Kidney Center.
When she isn't working with patients, she enjoys reading, pets, exercise and family time.
